Reds to recreate the Stretford End in Vegas

Manchester United fans are being invited to generate an Old Trafford-style atmosphere when the Reds take on Borussia Dortmund in the US.

The pre-season fixture at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Sunday 30 July was first announced via ManUtd.com and the United App in early April, when tickets were released to club members and then the general public.

Seats on both sides of the venue are still available to all fans but we can now reveal that the two ends behind each goal will be reserved for supporters of each club, in a bid to represent their world-famous stands - the Stretford End at Old Trafford and the Yellow Wall at Westfalenstadion, home of our German opponents.

To book your seats in the United-only section, visit this special Ticketmaster page.

To book seats elsewhere inside Allegiant Stadium, head to this link instead.

United have not met Dortmund since a tour game in China seven years ago and the pair have only played six competitive matches in the past, so this summer’s encounter is a rare opportunity for fans to see two of Europe’s biggest clubs go head-to-head.

Our opponents finished 2022/23 as runners-up in Germany, having gone agonisingly close to ending Bayern Munich's majestic run of Bundesliga titles that now stands at 11 seasons in a row.

Edin Terzic's side went into the final day of the league campaign in top spot, two points clear of the pack, but their 2-2 home draw with Mainz enabled the reigning champions to edge them out on goal difference by beating Cologne 2-1.

The BBC reported that Terzic "was seen in front of the club's famous yellow wall after the final whistle, as the fans chanted the Dortmund-born coach's name."

The following day, 28 May, United's own league campaign ended with a victory over Fulham at Old Trafford as the Reds finished in third place, with a return to the Champions League already secured.

Erik ten Hag's men came from behind to triumph 2-1 and notch our 27th home win of the season, equalling a club record.

The Reds scored an impressive 108 goals across the season in all competitions and 44 of the 71 that came in home games were netted at the legendary Stretford End.

These included Bruno Fernandes's winner that saw off Fulham and raised a roar from the fans behind that net for one last time in 2022/23.
