Under-18s: United v Wolves

Saturday 02 December 2023 13:55

Manchester United's Under-18s sealed another victory in the U18 Premier League with a 2-0 win over Wolves at Carrington.

The deadlock was broken in the game after 15 minutes, when Gabriele Biancheri drew a foul in the box from Wolves defender Brayden Clarke.

The Reds forward took responsibility for the penalty himself, sending goalkeeper Lewys Benjamin the wrong way with a drilled finish into the bottom-left corner.

The early part of the second half settled into the same steady rhythm that we saw in the first 45 minutes, with both sides competing well in central areas.

However, two minutes into stoppage time, Wolves defender Caden Voice was dismissed for a second bookable offence when he tripped Zach Baumann during a United attack.

In the final minute of the game, Ruben Curley doubled our tally for the afternoon, running through the right of the Wolves defence before adjusting his body and slotting home a finish to the far post with his left to seal victory.
