The Reds will first welcome Chelsea in the semi-final of the FA Cup, where victory at LSV would secure a second final in two years for Marc Skinner's side, and provide a shot at our first major silverware since we reformed in 2018.

United have progressed confidently in the competition so far, starting our campaign back in January with a resounding 5-0 win over Newcastle United.

That was followed up by a 3-1 away victory against Southampton, before further success on the road saw us sweep Brighton aside to reach this point.

The Blues undoubtedly present the toughest challenge of the run so far, and are currently the bookmakers' favourite to lift the trophy, but the opportunity to clinch our first honour since a Women's Championship title in our inaugural season should provide plenty of motivation to get us over the line and book our place at Wembley.

UNITED v CHELSEA – WSL, OLD TRAFFORD, SATURDAY 18 MAY

Jumping forward a month, we again face Chelsea, this time in our final league fixture of this campaign and Emma Hayes's last WSL game in charge of the Blues before she departs for a new role as the United States women's national team manager.

Hayes currently has her side in contention for the quadruple: they still remain in the FA Cup, Conti Cup, Champions League and also lead the WSL league table.

This Old Trafford bout will present Marc Skinner's side with a second chance to disrupt that charge, an opportunity that will be taken seriously against a Chelsea team that has been a thorn in the side of the Reds in recent years.
