Mannion: We want to right the wrongs of last year

Aoife Mannion says the Reds are determined to go all the way in the Adobe Women's FA Cup this season, after being beaten in the final last year.

Marc Skinner's team are set to face Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley on Sunday (14:30 BST) in our second successive FA Cup final.

Unfortunately, last year, the Reds were edged out by Chelsea, losing 1-0, but after eliminating the Blues in the semi-final of the competition this season, Mannion is determined to ensure United's is the next name engraved on the trophy.

"What I am most looking forward to is being at Wembley, in front of our supporters, and trying to right the wrongs of last year," she said.

"Last year, we got so close, got to the final and got beaten against Chelsea.

"This season we are just focused on going all the way."

Sunday's match will be the first time Reds goalkeeper Phallon Tullis-Joyce will have been to Wembley, and the stopper recalled her best memory from our 2023/24 FA Cup campaign so far.

"It has to be that game against Chelsea," she said.

"Our fans were just incredible. My team-mates played an amazing game as well and being in the locker room afterwards, that was a special moment.

"This will be my first time going to Wembley so I am excited to make some memories with my team-mates."
