Young footballers compete for the ball during a Football in the Community event

To date, the Football in the Community Programme has delivered to over 400 different primary schools. Between September 2013 and January 2018, thousands of children received structured coaching from the Football in the Community Team.

Football in the Community always aims to maintain positive working relationships with schools and clubs that engage with the programme, and regularly receives exceptional feedback from those involved:

"We have appreciated the outstanding coaching received, all achieved with the maximum fun and enjoyment within a well-structured programme."
- Pat Arnold, Head Teacher at Friars Primary School

"As a teacher, I found the session excellent for delivering football sessions myself in the future. All sessions were well organised and staff were extremely approachable and engaged with the children extremely well."
- Stephen Harrison, Year 3 Teacher at Light Oaks Junior School

"The Manchester United Academy coaches were fantastic, ensuring every child got something from the sessions. Approachable, enthusiastic and excellent with the kids; the coaching staff are welcome back at our club anytime."
- Norman Lee, Head Coach at Dukinfield Youth
