Fernandes: Let’s keep pushing

“Let’s push again, all together, until the end of the season.”

That’s the message to the Manchester United supporters from midfielder Bruno Fernandes after he was crowned our Player of the Month for March earlier this week.

Our no.8 received his trophy at Carrington on Friday after accumulating a majority 40 per cent of the fan vote in the United App – narrowly pipping second-placed Marcus Rashford (39 per cent) to the post.

To show his appreciation for the support, Bruno took the time to record a video for the United faithful, as we get set to return to action following the international break, with Sunday’s Premier League game away to Newcastle United.

Bruno Fernandes has something to say as he holds his Player-of-the-Month trophy...

“Thanks to all the fans that voted me for Player of the Month. I really appreciate [it],” Fernandes says in the video, which you can watch above.

“It’s a good sign that you appreciate my effort, everything I do on the pitch.

“I just want to say a big thank you to you and let’s push again, all together, until the end of the season.”
Bruno registered three goals and an assist in March, as an ever-present in Erik ten Hag’s side across the month's outings in the Premier League, Emirates FA Cup and UEFA Europa League.

Speaking in his pre-match Q&A ahead of our first of nine games in April, Erik shared his appreciation for our latest Player-of-the-Month winner.

"He is fantastic. He has [had] a fantastic season so far and firstly he is an example,” the boss explains in the Q&A, which you can see in full from 07:00 BST on Sunday morning.

“He gives so much energy to the team, but he is taking so much responsibility and pushing the team, but often by example.
“Not only by coaching, by example and he is so good in transitional moments. Of course, in the final third, he is continually a threat," Ten Hag continues.

“In possession, he is always available to receive the ball. He is always an option and almost every time, he has the right solution.

“I am so happy with Bruno in my team, and I think he's made a massive improvement during the season, and I hope he can continue this."
