Casemiro confirmed as Brazil captain
Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has been confirmed as Brazil's new captain for the first game in a new era.
The Selecao's experienced coach Tite departed after the 2022 World Cup and this weekend's friendly against Morocco in Tangier will be the team's first game since then.
Casemiro's huge experience and winning mentality have made him an excellent choice for the armband, handed to him by interim boss Ramon Menezes.

"There are several ways of thinking," said Casemiro at a press conference.
"We had Thiago Silva [as captain] in the World Cup but, on my part, I feel prepared. I prepared myself for this and I am thankful for the trust.
"If it's another captain, no problem because I know I am one of the leaders and I have complete freedom to speak as a captain before the group."
The 31-year-old added: "Tite had a philosophy, we had to respect it, but, regardless of the title, the leaders on the field, the most experienced players, everyone has the privilege and the right to speak with others or the referee. Respect on the pitch is earned."
Casemiro's United team-mates Antony and Alex Telles, who is currently on loan with our Europa League opponents Sevilla, are also in the squad but Fred was not called up on this occasion.
Telles is being tipped to start at left-back, while Antony may begin the game, which takes place on Saturday night, on the substitutes' bench.
