How will the first and last PL weekends look?
The 2020/21 Premier League season will be unique for a number of reasons, including the latest start to a campaign, but for Manchester United the opening round of fixtures will be an even more unusual experience.
With United and Manchester City making it to the latter stages of a European competition this month, the Premier League have agreed that both clubs’ 2020/21 campaigns will be delayed by a week.

Wolves and Chelsea also had European campaigns that ran into August, and the Premier League have agreed to push their first matches of 2020/21 back to 14 September. Nuno Espirito Santos’s men will start the season by meeting Sheffield United at Molineux, while Chelsea face a journey to Brighton & Hove Albion.
Elsewhere on the opening weekend, top-flight returnees Leeds United face Liverpool at Anfield, Tottenham Hotspur host Everton, while it’s an all-London affair as Arsenal make the trip to the west of the capital to play Fulham.
United end with an away fixture against Wolves, a familiar opponent for the Reds, as we’ve face the Midlands outfit eight times over the last two seasons.
Meanwhile, our old foes Liverpool will welcome Crystal Palace to Merseyside on the final day, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City host Everton and Chelsea travel to Villa Park.
Leicester City v Tottenham could have huge significance at the top of the table on that May afternoon, while Arsenal lock horns with Brighton at the Emirates Stadium.
