Luke Shaw.

Shaw to miss remainder of the season

Sunday 26 July 2020 15:49

Manchester United defender Luke Shaw is out for the rest of the season.

The left-back was still unavailable for Sunday's Premier League finale at Leicester City and will be sidelined for the Europa League tie against LASK and, providing we progress, the subsequent tournament in Germany next month.

The ankle injury he sustained against his former club Southampton at Old Trafford has put paid to his 2019/20 campaign.

Has the boss made any changes for the crucial game at Leicester's King Power Stadium?

"Luke, unfortunately, will be out until next season" Solskjaer told MUTV's Stewart Gardner at the King Power Stadium. "That is a blow for him and a blow for us.

“He has been fantastic."

Brandon Williams got the nod to operate on the left flank for the final-day fixture with the Foxes and he will hope for further opportunities to impress in Europe.

Axel Tuanzebe and Phil Jones have also been out, with Axel unlikely to return until next term.
