Manchester United will play a friendly match against La Liga side Cadiz CF during this season’s World Cup winter break at the start of December.

The match against Cadiz will be the first of two to be played during the mid-season break, and will take place on 7 December at the Nuevo Mirandilla stadium, Cadiz.

As well as the match, and in preparation for the restart of the Premier League in late December, Erik ten Hag, his coaching staff and remaining players will also participate in a week-long winter training camp in the city.

Erik has spoken to us about December's week-long training camp and friendly matches.

Manchester United’s Football Director, John Murtough, comments:

“Erik and the team have made good progress during this first half of the season, and it is important we maintain this momentum coming out of the World Cup break. A winter training camp will be a vital part of the team’s preparations for the second half of the season.

“We have lined up a high-quality local opponent to play against, ensuring match fitness and sharpness is retained. The camp and game will also allow for some of our young talent to experience training and playing in a first-team environment, as well as provide entertaining club football for fans.”

Tickets for the match go on pre-sale to Manchester United Season Ticket Holders, Official Members and Executive Club Members from today, before going on general sale from 1 November.

With the exception of the host country, the match will be shown live on MUTV.

The club’s 24/7 streaming platform can be accessed via the Man Utd App or ManUtd.com, where fans can keep up to date with all the latest news from the club, including team news, exclusive content, matchday build-up and more. MUTV is also available on your TV, with Apple TV+, Amazon Fire TV, Roku TV or Xbox.
