Ole's team news update ahead of Arsenal clash

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has provided an update on his squad ahead of Saturday's visit to Arsenal.

The boss is determined to rally his troops in the wake of the shock defeat to Sheffield United and feels things continue to look positive on the injury front. Eric Bailly received a knock in training and missed the midweek game but should be available for the trip to the capital.

Anthony Martial fell heavily on his shoulder in the opening stages of the clash with the Blades but has trained as normal.

"They’re okay," the manager told MUTV's Stewart Gardner before his press conference. "They should both be travelling down.

“We’re still a good group all working together. Once in a while, we just hit a low like we did on Wednesday, but we’re good to go again."

There was no update on Brandon Williams, who has been sidelined, but the boss has plenty of options for the tussle with the Gunners. Fred was rested on Wednesday, while in-form Luke Shaw is expected to start, despite Alex Telles gaining another assist with the corner for Harry Maguire's goal.

Edinson Cavani came off the bench and his experience could be deemed useful in unsettling Arsenal's backline.

ARSENAL TEAM NEWS

The Gunners could be without Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who has been out due to a personal issue. Mikel Arteta's men are in outstanding form in the Premier League, with 16 points from the last 18 available, and could hand a debut to exciting loan recruit from Real Madrid, Martin Odegaard.

Kieran Tierney has been sidelined but may return, along with Dani Ceballos and Pablo Mari. Thomas Partey and Emile Smith Rowe were withdrawn in the midweek win at Southampton and Arteta commented: "They had some discomfort in different parts and we'll have to see how they evolve. We still have some days until the game, but not long, so let's see how they recover."
