Anthony Elanga in action for Manchester United Under-18s against Newcastle United

Manchester United's Under-18s have been involved in a series of entertaining games this term, with most of them being shown live on MUTV.

Player development is more important than results at this level and there have been real positives in terms of the number of members of the squad who have already been promoted to Neil Wood's Under-23s.

It means there have been plenty of changes in personnel and new signings are being eased into action, as a knock-on effect, but lessons are being learned and there has been no shortage of excitement.

Dillon Hoogewerf has quickly settled into life in the Under-18 Premier League, following his summer move from Ajax, and already has four goals to his name. Anthony Elanga is another to have shown a real cutting edge to his game, as he is currently the leading marksman with five.

There was a 5-2 win at Newcastle United last time out, despite being 2-0 down, and a 4-4 draw with Leicester City in the Under-18 Premier League Cup at the Aon Training Complex.
