HOW DID LIVERPOOL GET ON LAST SEASON?

The Merseysiders amassed an impressive 97 points in the 2018/19 season, yet still did not manage to claim their first Premier League title, with Manchester City just pipping them on the final day of the season. Jurgen Klopp’s men did, however, manage to succeed on the Champions League stage, beating Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 in the all-English final in Madrid. In the domestic cups, the Anfield outfit were knocked out of the Emirates FA Cup and Carabao Cup at the first time of asking, losing to Wolverhampton Wanderers and Chelsea respectively.
