Monday 11 June 2018 15:10

Manchester United will travel to Germany this summer for the team’s final pre-season game ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.

United will head to Munich, where they will face reigning Bundesliga champions FC Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on Sunday 5 August, kick-off 8.15pm (local time).

The trip to the Bavarian city follows five games in the USA for Jose Mourinho’s men, who will face Club America, San Jose Earthquakes, AC Milan, Liverpool and Real Madrid during the stay in the US.

Commenting on the club’s summer plans, Manchester United’s Executive Vice Chairman, Ed Woodward, said: “The team are facing some of the world’s toughest opponents over the course of pre-season, in top class stadiums which will allow a significant number of our supporters to get closer to the team they love.

“The competitive feel throughout the summer programme will provide a great platform for the squad, giving them the best possible preparation ahead of the new campaign.”

United will play at Bayern Munich's Allianz Arena this summer for only the third time.

Supporters unable to attend any of the games throughout pre-season will be able to keep up-to-date with live action of all of the games and many other exclusive shows via MUTV, either online, through TV subscription or on the MUTV global mobile app. For further details, visit www.mutv.com or search for “MUTV” in your favourite app store.
