Solskjaer's optimistic update on United's injuries
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is confident that more Manchester United players will return from injury this week, just in time for Saturday evening's Emirates FA Cup quarter-final against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
There was a welcome boost on Sunday when Nemanja Matic returned to the starting XI against Arsenal and Anthony Martial stepped off the bench in the second half at the Emirates Stadium. Long-term absentee Marcos Rojo also took his place among the substitutes in North London.
Solskjaer's post-match press conference
See what Ole told reporters in his post-match press conference at the Emirates Stadium...
“No, we don't have to choose,” he told reporters. “Because with the injuries we've had lately, that's given us a great chance to give players game time. And they are coming back, maybe for Wolves.
“But after the international break we'll have a full squad fit and the ones who've come in when the regulars have been injured have done really well. We'll be ready for that.”
Our cameras were at the Aon Training Complex last Friday to capture one of Solskjaer’s sessions.
Ander Herrera, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard were all pictured taking part, which suggested the trio of Reds are recovering well from their recent injury problems and could be close to returning.
Solskjaer may provide another update when he next speaks to the media this coming Friday.
