McTominay scores two in Scotland’s win over Spain
Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay scored two decisive goals as Scotland recorded a famous win over Spain on Tuesday evening.
The United man found the net either side of half-time at a jubilant Hampden Park, as his country triumphed 2-0 in the Euro 2024 qualifier.
It means McTominay has scored four times in two appearances for his nation across this international break, having come off the bench to net a brace in their victory over Cyprus on Saturday.

Scott was one of three players brought into the starting XI for the game by Steve Clarke, off the back of his impactful cameo as a second-half substitute at the weekend.
It only took seven minutes for our no.39 to add to his tally in this break, surging forward and getting on the end of a low ball into the penalty area from Liverpool’s Andrew Robertson, which he placed beyond Kepa Arrizabalaga in the Spain goal.
After Scotland led 1-0 at the break, McTominay doubled the lead early in the second half, arriving in the box again before finding the net once more. This time, he produced a superb left-footed volley on the run.
The midfielder would go on to complete the 90 minutes, and help his nation record a famous win over Spain, who they defeat for the first time in a senior international fixture since 1984.
The victory also maintains a 100 per cent start to the Euro 2024 qualifying campaign for Clarke’s side and, as a result, they currently sit top of Group A with six points.
Speaking in a post-match broadcast interview, he told Viaplay: "We did really, really well.
"We knew they'd have lots of the ball, and the manager said be clinical when we had the opportunities, and I thought we had enough opportunities tonight to really hurt them and score some goals.
"As a kid, I was an attacking midfielder - I like to get in the box. I've got to keep doing that, I know I can add more goals and assists to my game.

"The manager said this is our chance to create legacies as Scotland players and these are the nights in 20, 30 years that people remember," he continued.
"We can't thank the fans enough."
Having made a telling contribution in both of Scotland's international fixtures this month, McTominay is now set to join back up with his United team-mates over the coming days, as preparations continue for our Premier League trip to Newcastle on Sunday.
