Seven United games moved for TV

Friday 12 October 2018 17:00

Seven of Manchester United's Premier League fixtures across December 2018 and January 2019 have been moved for TV coverage, including key clashes against Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

The first affected outing is a visit to Southampton on Saturday 1 December, which will now kick off at the later time of 17:30 GMT. A midweek clash against Arsenal at 20:00 GMT then follows four days later, having been pushed back 24 hours.

Unsurprisingly, the always eagerly-anticipated trip to face Liverpool at Anfield has been selected for broadcast in the UK on Sunday 16 December at 16:00 GMT. Jose Mourinho's men travel to Cardiff City the following Saturday for another early-evening affair at 17:30 GMT.

Our trip to Anfield, now set for Sunday 16 December, is sure to be another feisty encounter.

The year ends with a home fixture against Bournemouth on Sunday 30 December at 16:30 GMT, originally scheduled for the previous day, before the Reds start 2019 by journeying to the North East to take on Newcastle.

Instead of being played on New Year's Day, that game at St James' Park will now take place on Wednesday 2 January at 20:00 GMT.

Finally for this round of changes, United will now play Tottenham on Sunday 13 January at 16:30 GMT, in what is set to be our first visit to Spurs' new stadium.

In addition to the Premier League commitments, there will be at least one more game to be added to the winter schedule. The Emirates FA Cup third-round ties will be played on the weekend of 5/6 January, with the fourth round following three weeks later.

United are set to visit Spurs' new stadium for the first time in January.
