Chong to seal second loan move

Manchester United winger Tahith Chong has had his loan at Werder Bremen ended in order to tee up a move to Club Brugge in a similar deal.

The Netherlands Under-21 international has spent the first part of the campaign in the Bundesliga but will have hoped for more than his 13 outings, in total, for Werder.

He was an unused substitute during the 1-1 draw with Schalke on Saturday afternoon.

Club Brugge are comfortably leading the Belgian top-flight and the transfer, which is still subject to a medical and the contract being finalised, should enable Chong to get the game-time he is seeking. They have also announced the capture of Nabil Dirar from Fenerbahce at the same time.

At 21, Chong will be looking to push on and impress Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and the United staff.

"It's been a pleasure to represent this club [Werder] for the last few months," Chong said on Twitter. "Even though it wasn't long, I learnt a lot and I leave the club with some great memories and friendships. Good luck for the rest of the season."

Everybody at United wishes Tahith well on his new adventure and we will be tracking his progress closely.
