Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has announced his Manchester United side to face Fulham on Wednesday night.

The boss has made three changes for the Premier League encounter from the team which started against Liverpool at the weekend.

Into the team come Eric Bailly, Mason Greenwood and Edinson Cavani, in place of Victor Lindelof, Scott McTominay and Marcus Rashford.

David De Gea starts between the sticks again; the Spaniard kept his 150th clean sheet for the Reds on Sunday and will be hoping for another in the capital.

The boss reveals the reasons for refreshing his side, as we look to reclaim top spot in the Premier League…

Ahead of him, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw are joined in defence by Bailly, who last featured in last week’s win over Burnley.

In midfield, Fred and Paul Pogba will be the anchors against a dogged Fulham outfit, while Bruno Fernandes will operate in the no.10 role as he makes 50th appearance for United.

It looks like Greenwood will start proceedings on the right wing, with Anthony Martial on the opposite flank. In the centre-forward position, Cavani has been selected, as Ole gives Rashford a rare rest.

Our no.10 has been named among the substitutes, with the other attacking options including Daniel James and Donny van de Beek.

Speaking to BT Sport ahead of the game, Ole explained his team selection, saying: “There are so many games and when the games come thick and fast, you just have to rotate a little bit.

“I was disappointed on Sunday that we couldn't get the win but, then again, that mental disappointment will give the players more energy to respond tonight.

"Consistency of results needs consistency of performances. I think the boys have played really well. They've been focused.

“We did have to look at how we defended and we are more secure defensively so we don't concede as many goals or have to chase games."

When asked about Victor Lindelof's absence during his interview for club media, the boss said: "He's not bad. It's still his back that we've got a few issues with, and I found it better that he stayed at home, trained a little bit, then [he'll be] ready for the weekend."
