What's going on at United this week?
It’s the final full week before Christmas and, unsurprisingly, that means there’s plenty going on at Manchester United.
Elsewhere, there are two cup draws and host of birthdays and anniversaries, so we’ve rounded up everything you need to keep an eye out for this week…
MONDAY
Our Under-23s are in action at 19:00 GMT against Reading’s youngsters at the Madejski Stadium. Neil Woods’s side are second in the table and just a point behind West Ham United, after winning 10 of the opening 12 matches. The game will be broadcast live on MUTV and it's the last chance to see our Under-23s in 2019.

TUESDAY
We’re gearing up for our Carabao Cup quarter-final clash with Colchester United, which takes place the following night. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer completed his pre-match press conference on Sunday after the Everton game, and you can hear what he had to say from 10:00 GMT via our club media channels.
WEDNESDAY
Colchester will visit Old Trafford for the first time in their history, for a last-eight tie in the League Cup. United have not qualified for the semi-final stage since 2016/17, when the Reds eventually won the trophy of course. We’ve also only played Colchester twice in our history - both away in cup competitions - and have won on each occasion. MUTV will show all the build-up in the ‘Match Day Live’ programme, while you can follow live updates in our ‘Match Centre’ via the website and Official App.
Should United successfully get past Colchester, we'll find out who we're up against in the semi-finals when the draw takes place later that evening.
THURSDAY
It is exactly a year to the day since Solskjaer because United manager. The Norwegian was, of course, initially appointed on a caretaker basis, before he became the permanent boss in March. Let’s hope he can celebrate the day by reflecting on an excellent Carabao Cup victory from the previous evening.
FRIDAY
Ole will be back in front of the cameras ahead of the weekend's Premier League game against Watford, fielding questions from the media in his press conference - which you can watch on MUTV and via our Official App. As usual, Ole may give an update on the latest team news and injury updates.
Meanwhile, this is the final day that our Premier League TV fixtures for February 2020 can be announced. The league has confirmed they will be revealed this week and have stated that it will be no later than Friday.

SATURDAY
It’s exactly 11 years to the day since United were crowned world champions. The Reds beat Ecuadorian side Liga de Quito 1-0 in Japan to win the 2008 Club World Championship, thanks to Wayne Rooney’s 73rd-minute strike.
SUNDAY
Ole’s men will round off a hectic week by travelling to Vicarage Road for a Premier League clash with Watford. The Reds have won on the last two trips to Hertfordshire, while also beating the Hornets in each of our last five meetings. The game will be broadcast on Sky Sports and, as usual, you can follow the build-up on MUTV, as well as live match coverage on our website and Official App.
