adidas
adidas, Manchester United’s Official Kit Supplier, have provided support to those most at need during the coronavirus pandemic, with a number of charitable causes and initiatives:
#hometeam
- Although we are physically apart, now more than ever, is the time to keep moving, to pull together and to share skills, positivity and hope. Through #hometeam, adidas rolled out free virtual experiences across social and digital channels to encourage communities to stay active, practise mindfulness, learn, seek entertainment and stay connected. In addition to live workouts and nutrition tips, there were live DJ streams and inspirational content to help communities stay mentally strong, inspired, creative and hopeful. Find out more.
3D printed PPE face shields
- adidas utilised their extensive 3D printing capacity to help produce PPE face shields for U.S. healthcare workers and first responders. The face shields, based on an open-source design released by Carbon, were made by adidas from the same material used for its 4D printed footwear products, using its Digital Light Synthesis (DLS) systems to help 3D print them. Charitable Donations
- Between 18 April-16 May, adidas donated an additional £2 for every item purchased over £20 from their online sites or mobile Apps, to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. Find out more.
