A hard-working winger who is comfortable on either flank.
Despite her attacking prowess, the Scotland youth international is seen regularly tracking back to support the full-back behind her. Alongside former team-mate Jess Sigsworth, Hanson was part of the Doncaster Rovers squad which gained promotion from WSL2 in 2018 and she made it two in two with United the following year, contributing five goals in all competitions. A former youth teamer with the Reds, Hanson scored her first top-flight goal for the club in the 3-0 win over Tottenham in October 2019, and at the end of that month, she became the first United player to be named the Women's Super League Player of the Month. Just a month later, in November 2019, she was called up to the Scotland national team for the first time. Early in 2021, Hanson hit a pair of landmark goals, for both club and country. Following her first senior international strike for Scotland in February, in a 10-0 win against Cyprus, Hanson then broke the deadlock for the Reds against Aston Villa the following month, with what was our 100th competitive goal scored at Leigh Sports Village. In September 2022, Hanson joined Aston Villa on loan for the 2022/23 season.
