A hard-working winger who is comfortable on either flank.
Despite her attacking prowess, the Scotland youth international is seen regularly tracking back to support the full-back behind her. Alongside former team-mate Jess Sigsworth, Hanson was part of the Doncaster Rovers squad which gained promotion from WSL2 in 2018 and she made it two in two with United the following year, contributing five goals in all competitions. A former youth teamer with the Reds, Hanson scored her first top-flight goal for the club in the 3-0 win over Tottenham and was later called up to the senior national set-up for the first time, as well as becoming the first United player to be named the Women's Super League Player of the Month in October 2019. On 7 March 2021, Hanson broke the deadlock against Aston Villa with the Reds' 100th competitive goal scored at Leigh Sports Village.
