Signed in July 2021, Sophie has represented England at every age grouping up to the Under-23 level and has had a number of senior call ups since 2016.
After graduating from the Derby County Centre of Excellence, the goalkeeper moved to Birmingham City's Academy in 2013, making her senior debut with the Blues the following year.
Baggaley gained valuable experience while out on loan with Bristol City during the 2017/18 season, starting 17 of 18 WSL games and claiming The FA Women's Football Awards Save of the Year for a stop from Arsenal's Jordan Nobbs.
She joined the Robins on a permanent deal in the summer of 2018 and then enjoyed her best campaign yet, winning several individual awards including the FA WFA Players' Player of the Year after helping the south-west club to sixth, their best finish since 2013.
Despite helping Bristol to a first-ever Continental League Cup final in 2021, the Robins were relegated at the end of the season, although Baggaley led the league in saves, having made 95.
Her United debut came in the Continental Cup, as United defeated Durham on penalties, while her second appearance saw her help the Reds to a 2-1 derby triumph over Manchester City in the same competition. Each of Sophie's first 10 Reds appearances would come in the tournament.
