Match Day Steward Application Form

At Manchester United we aim to be the best on and off the pitch – and the quality of our behind-the-scenes team sets us apart from the competition.
Our people are as committed to the success of the company as the players are to winning trophies. We offer a unique and exciting working environment, excellent training, with recognition and rewards for the part each individual plays.

We’re currently looking for stewards to join our team here at Manchester United. This is a meet & greet role that involves general spectator safety duties and interfacing with our fanbase and supporters.

The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills, the ability to be able to communicate effectively and have a passion for going the extra mile for our spectators is crucial. Safety is extremely important to us at Old Trafford, therefore having good attention to detail to ensure that those travelling to and from the game have a seamless experience is a high priority.

All Stewards must complete (or hold) a NVQ Level 2 Spectator Safety. If you do not hold this qualification MUFC will fund the course for you. Due to the nature of the role, regular availability at the weekends and on matchdays is paramount.

All stewards are entitled to a free pie and hot drink during their matchday shift, as well as a number of other great benefits. There are also regular social events/occasions and an end of season awards evening and dinner that all staff are invited to.

If this sounds of interest to you and you’d like some further information about what it’s like to work as a steward at Manchester United, please apply below.

Stage 1 – Interview: The Interview evening will consist of a presentation, competency exercise and a short one-to-one interview.
