Thomas Cook Sport

Following news of the insolvency of Thomas Cook, Manchester United want to help minimise the impact on our loyal fans that have purchased match tickets or travel from Thomas Cook.

European Away Games

Thomas Cook should not have taken any payments for travel or tickets for the matches against FZ Partizan or FC Astana. If fans believe they have been charged, we encourage them to seek compensation via ATOL, ATBA, travel insurance or credit card provider.

Thomas Cook used to provide ticket + travel packages as our Official Travel Provider, so since their insolvency we have exhausted all available options to source another reputable provider who would be willing and able to operate trips to our remaining games against FC Astana and FK Partizan. The entire UK flight market is currently involved in supporting the Civil Aviation Authority with repatriation of Thomas Cook customers around the world (Thomas Cook had over 150 aircraft which are not currently available). It was therefore not possible to secure third-party travel to FK Partizan in the limited time-frame we had.

As we have a period of time until the Astana game takes place, although arranging independent travel is complex, we are continuing to look into alternative options, including chartering a flight directly. Whilst we will do everything we can, this is not guaranteed at this stage. We will provide updates as and when we have them.
