'We will come back fighting again'

Transcript

"It can still be a good season, if we finish in the top four and win the Europa League," says Lee Martin on MUTV...

Transcript

“It was just a bit of a struggle today and we didn't perform. We are all so disappointed that we've gone out in a semi-final at Wembley and just didn't perform. They created more chances than we did and if you look through the game, we didn't create anything other than the penalty we got. Overall, it is disappointing and we have just got to look to Wednesday now, to try and get a result. We were going so well for 19 games and everyone was saying other clubs will be worrying about us next season, and how we can challenge for the league, but all of the sudden we are back down to earth. But this might just be a one-off and let's hope so, and we will come back fighting again on Wednesday. It is difficult to come back from a result like today as we haven’t played well and we were desperate to get to the final. We have got to bounce back and we have got Wednesday’s game. It can still turn out to be a really good season for us, if we finish in the top four and go on to win the Europa League. But right at this moment in time we are down about the result and the way we played.”
