Key talking points from Ole's press conference
London Evening Standard journalist James Robson feels Ole was right to be positive and bullish in his briefing...
ON PAUL POGBA "ONce again they are the sort of headlines you don;t wait, either, but on this occasion they are not about his future. They are about his immediate future in terms of that Arsenal game on Monday. It looks like he has suffered a recurrence of the ankle injury that has ruled him out for over a month. They are going to have checks over him at the weekend to see if he can actually play on Monday and you would imagine Solskjaer is desperate to have him in his starting XI." ON THE INJURIES "Yeah that news doesn't get any better does it. When you look at the injury list at the moment, it could be a very similar team to the one that played Rochdale against Arsenall. With all respect to Rochdale, they are going to need a stronger team and a better performance if they are going to beat Arsenal. Pogba is crucial to that. He got a lot of criticism for the performance on Wednesday. But he is a world-class player. You need your best players against sides like Arsenal." ON OLE BEING BULLISH "I did think he was right to be like that and it is the image he has got to put out at the moment. He can't be seen to be crumbling under the pressure of what is going on, but we can't ignore that there is pressure as well because the performances aren't there and the results aren't there. I think Solskjaer would agree with that as well. He was saying that fans are very much behind what he is doing and we can probably all agree with that. We can see what he is trying to do. It is just not quite happening at the moment."
