Ole explains our starting XI v Everton
Watch our exclusive interview with the manager, as he explains our starting XI to face Everton...
This is the same team that started against City – is it a case of producing the same performance? “I hope we start the game as well as we did against City, when we rode a storm for five to 10 minutes before playing some fantastic football. Let's hope the confidence is high. Of course, this is a different opposition. City are by a mile the best team to dominate the ball and Everton are a different side.” This is the 4,000th United match featuring a homegrown player in the squad – what does that show? “It shows the club's belief in the whole process, that we are good at identifying young players, good at coaching them and they have got that stickability to go all the way through. If they are good enough, they should be given a chance.” A win would leave us within two points of the top four – is that a big incentive? “Let's just make sure that we have a good performance and earn the right to win the game. That is always going to be the main thing now, that we keep having consistent performances that will in the end earn results. If we put good performances in then we will move up the table.”
