Interview: Ole's post-match opinions
A frustrated Solskjaer discusses the result, performance, De Gea and Bailly while speaking to MUTV's Stewart Gardner...
My assessment of the performance “It is emotions, highs and lows. That was the performance as well, because the first half was excellent, a fantastic performance, we got out on the front foot, created chances, put them on the back foot where they had to defend. We felt very confident, created chances, got 1-0 and maybe should have had two or three. And then coming into half-time was disappointing. In the second half we never got the quality or the intensity. The legs never got going.” A draw was a fair result “The mood in the dressing room at half time was good, everyone one supports each other and everyone supported David. They felt good in the game but after that we just couldn't find the quality and tempo that we had in the first half. Both teams could have won it. Probably none of us deserved to win it so a draw is a fair result. When Marcos' header was saved off the line, you thought 'ah that was the chance we wanted'. But we have got two more games so we need to make sure we get the points, because it seems like nobody wants to win this race for a Champions League place.” De Gea will rise again "He has been in the spotlight for the right reasons for so long. He will be able to handle this, no worries. David has been through tough periods and good periods. he will admit himself he could have had that goal, but that is football. He has got to rise again, wake up tomorrow and look forward." We will keep fighting for fourth "Let's make sure we do our jobs, prepare, do our recover, get our heads straight, see players that want to give it that last go. Because they have been terrific, they have been absolutely fantastic in the last few months. Let's make sure we finish with two wins."
