Ole's honest interview after losing at Wolves
Solskjaer is typically honest and open in our interview at Molineux, following the disappointing defeat to Wolves...
Q: What were your thoughts tonight? OGS: "Very disappointing. All in all they deserved to win because they had the better of the chances. Yes, we dominated possession but we never really felt in control and I never really felt that we put them under pressure. It seemed like they were happy with how the game went in the first half and then, of course, it’s disappointing giving easy goals away. Q: It’s difficult to quite put your finger on why things didn’t get going tonight? OGS: "That’s football for you. It’s just a slight off on the quality and the tempo of the passing. I thought that was maybe the biggest letdown and the urgency, because we are better when we play quick, we play forward, we run forward. A couple of times when Paul broke free in the first half and drove at them [there were] two yellow cards [for Wolves]. A couple of times we played Rashy through the middle, in behind the centre-backs [there were] half-decent chances. The if we had the possession too comfortable - I think we played it too comfortable." Q: Romero made a couple of big saves in the second half, did you feel that was going to jolt us into action because it was 0-0 at that point? OGS: "You hope so because at half-time we spoke about it, we needed more urgency, more forward passing, more running. The again, Sergio made so fantastic saves - he’s applied really well again. But that’s disappointing because they had the better of the chances. They deserved the win." Q: And when Marcus does score it’s just too late? OGS: "A minute too late. If you had maybe another minute to just have another go at it we could have got something out of it, but too little, too late." Q: Is it going to drag this international break over the next two weeks? OGS: "It’s happening so we can’t do anything about it. The players who go away with international teams, go and enjoy it, go and play as well as you can. Some of them are called back into a squad, maybe that will give some of them a boost. We just need to come back recharged. Whether you have days off or you play with your national team, come back with a big smile, loads of energy and ready for the league and Champions League."
