Ole reveals players' reaction in Leicester
TranscriptThe manager explains the mood in the dressing room after an entertaining draw with Leicester...
Ole, a point here is never a bad result but after leading twice, are you a little bit frustrated? "Disappointed. But then again, you can never switch off. They've got good players and it was a quality goal at the end there, from Vardy good movement and a proper striker's goal. But we thought we maybe deserved the win because we'd created the bigger chances." Was it a case of not quite being clinical enough because we did create some good chances... "Yeah we created chances and we played some fantastic football. I think the game was a really entertaining one, it was end to end. Some good players on show and some really good performances by individual players as well. I think the feeling in the dressing room was I was happy seeing them being so flat, that disappointed. Because coming here, as you said, it could be a good point but then again we have higher ambitions and standards that we want to live up to. They want to win every game, I want to win every game but the reality is you can't." But we kind of are used to winning every game... "Especially away from home but we've scored too early probably! We need them to score the first one to turn it around. No, it's a very good game of football, I have to say." Both times that we scored, they scored within 10 minutes. Was that the slight frustration as well? "Yes, if you can build on a lead of course to get control. In the first half we never got control of the game. In the second half I felt more in control but then again, you know that quality moments from quality players can hurt anyone." You brought on Edinson and it worked a treat, didn't it? "Yes, great pass, great timing and a fantastic run and finish from Bruno so I'm pleased with that one of course." Players get knocks at this time because they play so much, so is that what happened to Victor or was it his back? "It was his back again, I think, so we'll just have to assess that one before Wolverhampton. Then again, Eric is fit now, Axel's fit, so we might have to look at that one for Wolverhampton again." There's no time to worry about that... "No, we don't have time, but this time around, we've got maybe 34 more hours than Wolverhampton to prepare for this game so hopefully the boys will use them wisely."
