The latest injury update from Solskjaer
Ole gave an update on six players - including Alexis, Martial and Lukaku - at the start of his press conference...
An update on our injured players "We've not had a lot of training since. We had yesterday [Wednesday] off so today is the first day back. Romelu [Lukaku], Anthony [Martial] and Alexis were light yesterday so hopefully they can join part of the training today and let's see after they've come through. Marcos [Rojo] and Scott [McTominay] look like they can take part very soon as well, so it's looking better." The latest news on Chris "Smalling has got a sore foot, so I don't think we'll see him until the New Year anyway - maybe not even before Spurs [on 13 January] probably, around that time, but you never know." We can improve in lots of ways “There are things that we need to improve and we're in sixth position for a reason. We've not been consistent enough, we've not been able to keep clean sheets, we've not scored enough goals. We've only conceded two goals from set-pieces so that part, I feel, the open-play defending has been good but we need to get back to the habit of not conceding goals. There are loads of things. “In a football team, you always look at different things to improve on but, as I said, I'm coming in from the outside, it's hard to make a difference. My job has been to speak to the players, to get to know the feelings and know how their confidence levels are and how they feel about their own situation because every single one has a responsibility to improve.”
