Ole explains our starting XI v Man City
TranscriptWatch as the manager discusses the team, our four changes and why Edinson Cavani is missing...
We’ll start with the team news. You’ve got a striker back in Anthony today, but Cavani not involved? "He had to come off training, he didn’t feel right unfortunately. But Anto is available and that’s good news." I think nine of the 10 outfield players started the game we won here in the Premier League last year and played very well. Can that bring a bit of confidence, that muscle memory if you like? "Is it Bruno [in] and Jesse [out] who are the two differences? We have to go back into the memory bank. At times you struggle a bit but you know you’ve got to draw on those experiences. We’ve been here, how did that feel? How did I feel? What did it make you do? Of course, these days live in our memories and we know we can give them problems." I think it’s a year tomorrow we last played in front of a crowd, in a Manchester derby with an incredible atmosphere. Will we be missing those Red fans here today? "Of course. They’ll be watching, they’ll be cheering us. My two sons were behind that goal actually that day. That’s one of the best memories they’ve got of away trips. Scotty’s goal was the last time we had fans in. That will live with us, but hopefully we can create new memories here."
