Exclusive: Ole explains our starting XI v City
Watch as the boss discusses Harry Maguire's omission and highlights the importance of starting five homegrown players...
Ole, you were keen to get Harry Maguire ready but he hasn't quite made it... "No he [Harry] couldn’t make it, so was there was no point trying to make things worse. He was trying until the end, but he’s not ready." There are five Academy products in the starting XI. Is that important in a derby? "That’s part of our identity - to give young lads a chance. I think with Marcus captaining the team for the first time, that’s a good night for him. Brandon and Mason, to play in a game like - it is probably the biggest game they’e played against the best team they’ve played. But they’ve risen to every challenge we’ve given them and we felt we wanted to give the young lads a chance today." It is two legs, so does that add a different dynamic to the game? "Yeah. You know that at half-time today we’re only a quarter of the way through. You’re not going to win or lose it today, hopefully. It’s one of them where we'll come in at the end and there’s still three weeks to go until we play them again."
