What does Ole think of our five-goal display?
TranscriptAs a legendary striker, the boss loved all of our goals against Bournemouth! Watch his interview at pitchside...
Ole, it's never dull these days, is it? What a game that was. "It's exciting, great attacking football, some fantastic goals. It's too bad our fans couldn't be here and spur us on, because you can see the energy in the team, you can see the atmosphere within the team, but if that crowd is here that lifts you even more. It could have been six or seven or eight then, so of course it's a strange feeling playing in front of no one, but I think the team is doing exceptional. I think they're doing whatever they can to create that atmosphere themselves." I guess a different sort of challenge today, because you went behind but there was no panic. You came straight back into it. "No, well we didn't come straight back, but there was no panic. We just have to play and play, and trust the way that they have performed and played lately. I think it's been very exciting to watch the front players of course, but they get delivery from behind. They get passes, assists, they get balls to work with and we'll keep on working, keep trying to improve for next time." Obviously the front three are exciting in terms of goals today. Mason, we know he is two-footed, but everyone could see that today, two remarkable strikes. "Great timing as well with the goals. Some fantastic finishes and it's good that defenders can see he can go inside and outside, which might create a doubt for defenders, because we know how good he is coming on the inside scoring, but I think now both goals on the outside of the defender, one with the left, one with his right, so an exceptional finisher." It was like we had our own Goal of the Month competition today. Anthony's goal was fantastic. "What a goal and Bruno's free kick of course. Antho has done that before. I can't remember which game it was, was it Tranmere? He had one of them? Maybe that had a little bit of a deflection but today was a sweet, sweet strike and he's just got to 20, Marcus got to 20, so the two of them can settle down a little bit with that and don't have to chase that next goal, because that is a milestone for everyone." That is 55 goals between the front three now. "Well we know that they can score goals, we know that they've got pace, energy, youthful, they'll learn, they'll improve and of course with the players that we have that can provide the passes with Paul and Bruno and the creativity that we've got in the team now is exciting?" Did Victor get an injury when he came off at half time? "He felt his back, so there was no need to take any risks, but Eric's fine. He's got his game, 45 minutes, played against Norwich, played against West Brom, so he'll be fine playing."
