The manager's update on injuries
Ole began the press conference by discussing the fitness of Victor Lindelof and Paul Pogba, as well as our form...
Ole, a few players weren’t training this morning. Is Victor Lindelof out for tomorrow? “No, he won’t be fit for tomorrow. He got a knock against Chelsea and he didn’t come through the game against Bournemouth without a reaction, so he’ll be out tomorrow.” Is Paul Pogba out of his cast yet? How much longer for him do you think? “I think he said it himself, didn’t he? It won’t be too long until he’s out of his cast and he’s going to work though the international break. Hopefully we’ll have him back in early December.” For other injuries, there are just four or five guys out… “Nothing to report. No updates from the last few weeks. Hopefully after the international break we can get a few more back.” Ole, did Saturday feel particularly disappointing after what felt like a turnaround? “You’re disappointed when you lose a game and, of course, we were on a half run. But it won’t happen in one instance where you turn everything around, but it was a quick turnaround. We couldn’t get the goal we felt we deserved early on. We started well and the mentality was great. We just couldn’t get the goal. We’re disappointed but we go again. We’ve got a great chance to qualify for the next round which means the last two games you can try out a few things.”
