Ole's opinions on Tottenham's visit
Watch what the boss said when asked about Tottenham's recent results, Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba's fitness...
Obviously there is a lot of attention on Jose Mourinho’s return. What kind of reception are you expecting for him and what kind of job did he do at this club? “A very good reception. Of course that's just a testament to this club and the supporters of this club. Of course they remember the two-and-a-half years he was here, he won trophies, so for me I'm 100 per cent sure that our fans will welcome him and the staff and the club, everyone.” What kind of position did you pick the club up in when he left? “I can't remember what league position we were in, but I've had 50 games since then and it isn't where it should have been, and it's not where we want to be and we know we have to improve, so we're working hard to put that right and of course when you change manager in the middle of a season it's not where it's supposed to be.” Paul Pogba be chomping at the bit to be involved. Will he be available tomorrow? “No. Paul's not ready, no. So, he's still a bit away, but he's working hard, so let's see. He's out on grass, so let's see how long it will take.” Ole, how do you think the other players will react to the return of Jose? “I don't think whoever the manager of the opposition team is will change their motivation. They're motivated to do well for Man United themselves, for us as a group going forward, because they also know that it's about proving every time, every day in training, but every time you step out onto that pitch it's a chance to prove that you should be part of this long term and that's always been the case at Man United. When you put that shirt on it doesn't matter who you play against, you've got to give it your all. The boys, of course after Sunday, they're a bit disappointed, but now it's all eyes on tomorrow night.” You mentioned the rebuild before, that it's a plan, it's a work in progress. How much are you looking forward to January? And how much do you need to add to the rebuild if you like? “You know I don't want to talk about these injuries we've had, but of course when you get Scott back, when you get Paul back, then that will help. We have been light in midfield because we had Scott and Nemanja and Paul out for such a long time and that's affected us.”
