Solskjaer on the XI and Bruno Fernandes
TranscriptIn our interview, Ole explains the starting XI against City and reacts to the big Bruno Fernandes announcement...
OUR INTERVIEW WITH OLE Four changes from the weekend. Can you talk us through it? "Well we've had loads of games lately. They got some rest in the last game against Tranmere, when the pitch wasn't the best. We managed to take some off at half-time as well, so we should have some energy tonight, which we need because we are two goals behind, we need to win the game and we need to do that against a very good team. I am looking forward to it." Is the win here in December the template for this evening? "Yeah. I don't think we should just do that, because last time we almost blitzed them in the first half an hour and could have been four or five up, and out of sight. I don't think that is the type of performance that will be needed. If we are in the game, if we are one or two up, with 15 to 20 minutes to go, then you know that anything can happen towards the end. We need to be realistic enough to know that they can keep the ball. They are a good team. They are two goals ahead of us so we need to be patient and get the first goal." The club has announced an agreement with Bruno Fernandes. What is your reaction? "We are delighted that we have agree with Sporting. It has been a good negotiation. The clubs, we know through history that these two teams, or clubs, have been good with each other. Now we have reached an agreement. Hopefully we can get the boy's contract over the line and the medical done. Then hopefully we can announce it."
