Ole explains the starting XI against City
Watch as Solskjaer explains his thinking behind our team for the 179th Manchester derby...
What is your thinking behind the two changes? "Yeah we want to win the game, of course. Mason did well, Ash did well, but Mason is a young boy and it was his first Premier League start of the season on Wednesday. Ashy, of course, is getting on a little bit and I don't think it would have been fair to play him again with only two days of recovery. Luke is ready." What impact does Wednesday night have on confidence? "it is a boost of course. Too many times this year we have been in winning positions when we have been clawed back into a draw, when we should have been two or three up. Then we felt the same against Tottenham, that we should have been two or three up, and then they scored. We got in for half time and we sorted ourselves out. We deservedly got the win and that is a confidence boost for us." Walking in, did it feel like a normal game or does it have something extra? "It does have a little bit extra, you have to be honest enough. We are playing against a fantastic team that has got the tools to play in any sort of way. Pep has been absolutely fantastic with the way he has coached his team. We know this is special, it is a Manchester derby. We are coming up against the best team in England, for me, but let's make sure we are the best team in England today."
