Ole's post-match interview
TranscriptThe manager gives his take on a disappointing night for United in Istanbul...
OLE ON MUTV Ole it was a tricky night, what do you make of it? Very, very disappointing, of course. I thought in the beginning of the game we are it, we played ourselves into space but then we played ourselves into trouble. We were too open for a counter attack and two disappointing goals, of course. Those will disappoint you, the ways those goals were conceded? You don’t mind if a team has to work really hard and outplay you, but when you give soft goals away that’s very disappointing. We know how hard it is to create goals and chances yourself. Then again, good response, good goal by Anthony and we thought we could go second half and put more pressure on them but we didn’t create enough. Did you think that goal was the turning point? You think so. You come into half-time and the talk is about getting the next goal. We kept pushing but couldn’t create the openings. You had so much of the ball but you couldn’t create enough Yeah we couldn’t create enough chances to score. That’s how it is in football. Champions League you play against good teams and experienced players and they know how to defend. You look at the group though, is it more open now? Of course it is. We missed a chance here to get points on the board. Ten points should be enough but we’ve started with two wins. We’ll go hard in the next few games. The games keep coming but maybe that’s a good thing? Definitely. We need a response again so we can see who’s got the character for this on Saturday morning.
