Live blog from Porto

Nick Coppack is travelling with the United squad for the Champions League quarter-final second leg against FC Porto. Return here for regular updates...

Wednesday 15 April

Less than 10 minutes to go and the atmosphere is really building. The Porto fans have created a large mosaic but it's a little ramshackle, to be honest. I can't work out what it's meant to say. Then again, I can't speak Portuguese, so it's not that surprising... Right, here come the teams. It's been a pleasure. Over and out.

19:27 The United players' finishing in this warm-up is incredible! Rooney, Tevez, Ronaldo, Macheda... even Anderson and Nani are firing them into the top corners. Oh yes, I've got a good feeling about this one...

19:10 Best. Entrance. Music. Ever. Porto players have just come onto the pitch to warm up, soundtracked by the Star Wars theme!

18:50 United team: van der Sar; O'Shea, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra; Ronaldo, Anderson, Carrick, Rooney; Giggs, Berbatov. Subs: Foster, Neville, Evans, Nani, Scholes, Tevez, Macheda.

Of course, that formation could change and in actual fact UEFA believe the Reds will play 4-3-3 with Ronaldo, Rooney and Berbatov up front. Can you believe there were rumours going around the press box about half-an-hour ago suggesting Sir Alex had left Rooney and Ronaldo out all together? No chance!

18:40 I lied. I'm back, this time reporting from inside Estadio do Dragao. I dare say those watching at home will have a better vantage point than me, though! The press box gives what can only be described as a "bird's eye view". That said, this is a tremendous stadium, oozing character. It's the kind of ground where the players must feel the crowd are right on top of them.

18:14 (via SMS) I'm on the United media bus to the stadium as the pre-match tension builds. Conditions are still wet here - maybe
