Manchester United goalkeeper Radek Vitek hopes his loan switch to Accrington Stanley will allow him to gain valuable senior experience.

The United youngster has joined the League Two outfit on a temporary deal until the end of the 2023/24 season, extending his Reds contract in the process.

Radek could feature as early as this weekend, with John Coleman's side visiting struggling Forest Green Rovers, who also have a United loan player in Maxi Oyedele.

“I think it is brilliant here,” Vitek said to Stanley's club media.

“I have seen the stadium, met new people and everything looks brilliant here. I am excited to get started.”

Having won the FA Youth Cup in 2022 and made the senior bench on seven occasions, Vitek has already enjoyed some memorable moments at United.

Radek now hopes his time in East Lancashire will benefit him moving forward as he looks to take the next step in his career.

“That is the main thing, I want to start and play regularly,” he added.

“Not on the bench or anything. I want to get some important matches under my belt.”
