Watch United's Under-18s live on MUTV

Monday 18 December 2023 11:20

Manchester United's Under-18s begin our 2023/24 FA Youth Cup campaign at Old Trafford on Tuesday.

The young Reds triumphed in the tournament, in the final at the Theatre of Dreams, in 2022.

As we aim to regain the trophy, Adam Lawrence's team will take on Derby County in M16 on Tuesday evening, under the lights.

Ahead of the match, for which tickets are still available to purchase, read on to discover all the key info...

HOW TO WATCH

The match between the Reds and the Rams kicks off at Old Trafford at 19:00 GMT, and it is being broadcast live on MUTV to subscribers in the UK and Ireland.

If you are unable to attend the match in person and roar on United, make sure you don't miss a minute by watching the stream on ManUtd.com and in our app.

Alternatively, keep up to date with all the pre-match build-up and post-match reaction via our blog, across the same platforms.

A summary of the action will follow the final whistle, along with further exclusive content.

UNITED AND THE FA YOUTH CUP

Manchester United and the FA Youth Cup go together like bread and butter.

The Reds have won the competition an incredible 11 times, more than any other club, and the intrinsic link between our club and the tournament stretches back to the Busby Babes in the 1950s.

Since then, impressing for our Under-18s in the Youth Cup is seen as a right of passage. From Duncan Edwards to the Class of '92, and more recent Academy graduates in Alejandro Garnacho, Kobbie Mainoo and Dan Gore - who all won it in 2022 - making a mark in the competition can prove to be a catalyst for progression into the first team.

Kobbie's start at Anfield made Premier League history for Manchester United.

ROAR ON THE REDS

If Lawrence's team progress past Derby, we will meet either Luton Town or Swindon Town in the fourth round.

The support of as many Reds fans inside Old Trafford, as always, will help the team get through to the next stage of the competition.
