Role purpose

As a Match Day Room Supervisor, you will be working alongside the Room Manager and be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of a designated hospitality suite on a matchday basis. This role entails overseeing the setup and service to ensure exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Previous experience in hospitality supervision, preferably in high-end or event-based environments.
  • Coordinate the service flow during matches, ensuring timely delivery of food and beverages and maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the rooms.
  • Oversee the breakdown and cleaning of hospitality areas post-match, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly stored.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction levels and promptly address any issues or concerns to ensure a positive experience.
  • Engage with guests proactively to gather feedback and suggestions for improvement.
  • Provide guidance and support to hospitality staff, delegating tasks and ensuring they adhere to service standards and procedures.
  • Oversee post-match clean up, ensure all equipment is accounted for and support in completing any required paperwork or handovers.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management to relay important information and ensure smooth coordination during matches.
  • To adhere to Manchester United’s health and safety standards, company rules, regulations and policies.
  • Monitor staff performance and conduct during service, taking corrective action where necessary and reporting any issues to senior management
  • Work closely with the kitchen, bar and hospitality team to ensure smooth coordination of service and special requests.

Skills and experience

 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently and courteously with guests and team members.
  • Excellent organisational abilities, with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure, especially during fast-paced match day operations.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, specifically on match days.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
