TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Manchester United Art Challenge Competition

Entry

1. Manchester United Football Club Limited (“MU”) (whose registered office is Old Trafford, Sir Matt Busby Way, Manchester M16 0RA) is the promoter of the Manchester United Art Challenge competition (the “Competition”).

2. By entering the Competition entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (“Conditions”) and confirm that all information submitted is true, accurate and complete. MU reserves the right to verify the eligibility of any and all entrants and may, in its sole discretion, disqualify any entrant that fails to satisfy the eligibility requirements. Entrants shall at all times act in good faith towards MU and the Competition.

3. Employees of MU or any of its associated companies or subsidiaries (and their families) are excluded from entering the Competition.

4. Entry into the Competition is free (except for any applicable internet and/or data usage charges).

5. In order to enter the Competition and to be considered for the Prize:

(i) entrants must first download the picture they would like to complete from the following webpage:  

www.manutd.com/ArtChallenge

Different pictures will be released by MU on an ad hoc basis until 23:59 GMT on 24 May 2020;

(ii) once a picture has been chosen and downloaded, the entrant must colour in the picture using whatever means they choose;

(iii) once the picture has been coloured in, entrants must complete the relevant data entry fields for the Competition, and upload their completed picture by no later than the Closing Date (defined below), by clicking on the Competition entry link available:

a. through the “Competition” Facebook application;

b. via www.manutd.com;

c. in the overlay form available at www.manutdfans.cn;

d. on the official Manchester United accounts on the following social media platforms: (a) Facebook; (b) Twitter; (c) Wechat; (d) Sina Weibo; (e) Tencent Weibo; (f) LINE; or

e. via any other method of entry which MU makes available; and

(iv) once an entrant has completed the above steps, their uploaded picture will appear in the gallery. Entrants may submit as many pictures as they wish.

6. The ability for entrants to enter the Competition and upload their completed pictures will end at 23:59 GMT on 24 May 2020 (the "Closing Date"). Any entries received after the Closing Date will not be entered into the Competition. 

7. All pictures submitted and uploaded by entrants will be subject to a public vote that will commence at 00:01 GMT on 25 May 2020 and will run until 23:59 GMT on 31 May 2020 (the “Public Vote”). Entrants will be notified when voting opens and may share the voting page with friends and family. Votes can be made on the following webpage:

Prize

8. Subject to paragraph 9 the prize will consist of (i) the Winner’s picture printed and signed by the player featured in the picture, and (ii) a Manchester United home football shirt for the 2019/2020 season signed by certain members of the Manchester United first team squad (the "Prize"). Any details as to the number or size of the shirt forming part of the Prize will be at MU’s absolute discretion. MU gives no guarantee that the shirt will be signed by any particular Manchester United player and MU will not enter into any correspondence as to which Manchester United player(s) sign(s) the shirt.

9. MU reserves the right to substitute the Prize with another of a similar nature at any time. 

10. The Prize is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative.

Winner

11. As soon as reasonably practicable after the Public Vote has ended, MU will select the 5 pictures that received the most votes during the Public Vote (the “Top Five”). If:

(i) an entrant has submitted more than one picture, the picture with the highest score only will be considered as eligible for the chance of being in the Top Five; and

(ii) the Top Five cannot be immediately identified as certain pictures in the running have the same number of votes, a random selection will be made using the relevant pictures.

12. The top 5 pictures will be provided to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who will select the winning picture (the “Winner”).

13. Only the Winner will receive notification from MU. The Winner will be notified by email as soon as practicable after the Closing Date. Following the draw, the Prize will be posted to the Winner. 

14. The Winner (or the Winner’s parent or guardian if the Winner is under 16 years of age) will be required to give their consent to the following: (i) for the Winner’s name and country to be disclosed to any person requesting that MU confirms the identity of the Winner; and (ii) for the Winner’s name and/or photograph to be published for promotional purposes, although the Winner may raise any concerns regarding this paragraph 14 with MU. 

15. If MU cannot successfully contact the Winner within a reasonable length of time, or if the Winner is unable or unwilling to accept the Prize, or if the Winner does not meet the eligibility requirements, or if the Winner (or the parent or guardian of the Winner if the Winner is under 16 years of age) does not provide the consent requested at paragraph 14 above, subsequent draws will take place until a new winner is found who is able, willing and eligible to accept the Prize and provide the necessary consents. This new winner shall be deemed to be the Winner for the purposes of these Conditions.

16. Subject to paragraphs 14 and 15 above, details of the Winner’s name and country will be made available to the public upon request from Manchester United Football Club Limited, Sir Matt Busby Way, Old Trafford, Manchester M16 0RA two weeks after the Closing Date (subject to data protection legislation).

General

17. MU reserves the right to cancel or amend the Competition or these Conditions without notice when reasonably necessary for the purpose of administering the Competition. 

18. The Competition, together with these Conditions, is governed by the laws of England and Wales and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
