Manchester United is delighted to announce that Ella Toone has signed a new contract until June 2025.

The 22-year-old joined the club in 2018 and currently holds the record for the most appearances and goals for the women’s team, having played 83 games and scored 36 times.

Toone received her first international call-up for England in September 2020 and made her debut for the national team earlier this year, scoring a penalty in a 6-0 win over Northern Ireland.

Ella Toone shares her delight at signing a new contract and reveals her targets for the road ahead...

In the most recent international break, she scored the first senior international hat-trick of her career during a 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup qualification game against Latvia.

Toone also represented Team GB at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics this summer.

Ella Toone said: “To sign a new contract at the club is really exciting for me; United has been a big part of my life growing up and I’m over the moon to continue my journey.

“The club meets my ambitions as a player, I’ve learnt so much already and I just want to keep working hard, keep contributing and have success here.

“I just want to also say a big thanks to everyone who has been involved in my journey so far; from family, friends, team-mates, staff and, of course, the fans, whose support I never take for granted.

“I want to make you all proud and create more memories with this club.”

Ella Toone signs her new contract, alongside head coach Marc Skinner.

Marc Skinner said: “I’m delighted that Ella has signed a new contract with the club, she is a wonderful talent and her stats this season speak for themselves. She has been an integral part of the squad.

“She is so versatile as a player, and her ability to find pockets of space and manipulate the ball in tight areas is where she really shines as an attacking force. There is so much room to grow with Ella too, she is only 22 years old and is always learning, so we know, if she continues to work hard, she will have such a bright future.”
