International Women's Day: United's game changers
Today is International Women’s Day – a day when the world comes together to celebrate the achievements of girls and women everywhere.
Through the club’s ‘Change the Game’ campaign, we today celebrate the women who are helping drive gender diversity across Manchester United and transforming attitudes to women in football – on and off the pitch.
The ‘Game Changers’ – ranging from senior leaders to those just starting their careers at the club – feature in an inspirational video talking about their roles in driving positive change.
Over the next month, we will be hearing more from some of our ‘Game Changers’, as well as from female fans, on what inspires and motivates them. We will also be celebrating the important contribution made by women throughout the club’s history and setting out a vision for the key role women will play in shaping the future of Manchester United.
ANOTHER MOMENTOUS DAY IN MARCH
Later this month, on Sunday 27 March, Manchester United Women will play in front of fans at Old Trafford for the very first time.
Our Women's Super League match against Everton (kick-off 12:30 BST) will be staged at the Theatre of Dreams exactly one year after the team's previous game there - a thrilling 2-0 win over West Ham United during lockdown.
