Sam Carney
Sam Carney, Senior Digital Editor
Sam Carney is the Senior Digital Editor at Manchester United, leading our rolling multi-media coverage of the Reds across our official app and website.
Sam started supporting United - his mum's team - at the beginning of the 1998/99 season and what a decision that was, as the Reds claimed a historic Treble at the end of the campaign.
He began working for the club in 2019, after graduating from The University of Salford with an MA in Journalism, and has reported on hundreds of games. He's also interviewed some of the most recognisable names in the club's modern history, including Paul Scholes, Gary Neville and Denis Irwin, as well as most of the current players and staff.
Sam also regularly contributes to our programme and magazine - and still loves seeing his name in print!
