Main Purpose

To work with the wider Culinary Team in providing world class catering for our executive clients dining within the hospitality areas, prepare and deliver high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• To help and support the Kitchen Manager to deliver the menu meals according to a set specification sheet.
• To support the Kitchen Manager to maintain a smooth operation of the business.
• Have a comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety standards. Assisting in the maintenance of a clean working environment, in pursuance of Health and Safety conformance 
• To play an active role in the cleanliness and order of the kitchen, pantry, and stores.
• Be committed to the success of the Football Club, by delivering Manchester United’s Visions and Values, whilst also adhering to and help enforce all Health and Safety standards, company rules, regulations, and policies always. Including completion of a daily fitness to work form before your shift.
• Maintain a high level of personal hygiene and to ensure that correct clean uniform and personal protective equipment are always worn.
• Ensuring chef whites are covered when moving externally around the stadium.
• Carry out any additional duties as reasonably assigned by the venue culinary team.
• To undertake any necessary internal training sessions in accordance with the Company’s Performance and Development Process and to take personal responsibility to seek opportunities to develop yourself and to realise your own potential.
• To monitor food quality throughout the cooking process, ensuring freshness and temperature control to deliver dishes of the highest standards.

Primary Activities

• Assist in the production, preparation and cooking of food for areas within the stadium
• Support the Kitchen Supervisor in order to maintain a smooth operation
• Prepare food according to a set specification sheet
• Ensure all aspects of food production processes are presented to the highest of standards
• Assist in stock control, portion control and quality control
• Contribute in carrying out a critical analysis of food safety operations
• Complete set paperwork applicable to the operation on a daily basis
• Assist the Environmental Health Manager in pursuance of Health and Safety conformance
• Aid when necessary with risk assessments and accident reporting
• Maintain a high level of personal hygiene and to ensure that correct clean uniform and personal protective equipment are worn at all times
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and guidance
• Report and record any service or maintenance issues with any kitchen paperwork queries to your Kitchen Manager
• Ensuring a deep clean is conducted in your area of work at the end of your shift, whilst maintaining cleanliness of kitchens throughout
• Inform your Kitchen Manager of all food wastage
• Subject to Match Day performance review by the Staffing Department

• To adhere to and help enforce all Health and Safety standards, company rules, regulations and policies at all times

Requirements

• Have a minimum Food Safety Level 2 Certificate and Allergens Certificate, dated within the last 3 years
• Strong culinary skills with a passion for creating delicious, high-quality dishes under pressure.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices. 
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with kitchen staff. 
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn. 
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety regulations and guidelines.
• Work experience in a similar kitchen environment. 

Upon completion, the candidate must have completed all the following online training modules before their first shift.

      • Food Allergens
      • Customer Service
      • Health & Safety Level 2
      • Food Safety Level 2
      • Diversity, Inclusion and Equity

The candidate must complete all Matchday Training within the deadline given

Experience

• An NVQ Level 2 in food preparation or similar qualification
• A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
• Work experience in a similar kitchen environment


Candidates must have a valid, in-date basic food hygiene certificate.
