Amad has picked up his trophy for being named the PFA Championship Fans' Player of the Year.

The Manchester United winger won the award for his sterling efforts while on loan at Sunderland for the 2022/23 season.

Not only did he top score in the division for the Black Cats, but he helped Tony Mowbray's side reach the play-offs, where they lost to Luton Town over two legs.

Amad sparkled for Sunderland in the Championship.

The talented 21-year-old hit 14 goals in total and earned the respect and adulation of the Stadium of Light fans, with his work and commitment to the cause.

After landing the north-east club's Young Player of the Year award, he followed it up with the division-wide prize for the overall best player in the Championship, as voted by supporters, beating off the closest competition from Chuba Akpom and Nathan Tella.

Amad returned to United after his stint on Wearside determined to force his way into Erik ten Hag's first-team plans.

The Ivory Coast international, who joined the Reds from Atalanta in 2021, was gaining plenty of minutes in the pre-season campaign, but picked up an injury during Tour 2023 that has kept him on the sidelines.

However, the exciting prospect is on the road to recovery and was all smiles when posing for our photographer, with his award at Carrington.

Well done, Amad!
